This jubilee volume collects contributions relating to the work of Burkhard Schäffer. Starting from the assumption of a reality constituted by explicit and implicit structures, it deals with questions of analytical observation as well as theoretical and methodological consequences: Social action is always conceived in the relationship between explicit and implicit.
