The starting point of the dissertation is an overview and a classification of the concept of coaching as well as the design of a connection to music therapy thinking and acting. The author presents a form of music-therapeutic coaching developed for the prevention of difficult situations and for the support of music students during their studies. Free and musictherapeutic improvisation is an important experiential and cognitive tool. A qualitative study using the methodology „description and reconstruction" from morphologically oriented music therapy examines the musical processes that emerged during the coaching sessions in relation to the respective coaching concerns and developmental processes. It was shown that this form of improvisation represents an appropriate intervention in the sense of coaching, which can expand the personal concept of music as well as the resulting possibilities for musical experiences for self-expression and self-knowledge within the studies of music in a meaningful and salutogenic way.weiterlesen
