Ocular Hemodynamics and Hydrodynamics examined with the OPFA and OPT
Part I: Basics and Methodology A practical Guide
Produktform: Buch
Normal ocular hemodynamics and hydrodynamics are the prerequisite for normal visual function and if they do not work properly, quality of life is affected and vision problems or even blindness can occur.
In this book, two non-invasive examination techniques are presented, the OPFA method (Ocular Pressure Blood Flow Analysis) for examining ocular hemodynamics, and the OPT method (Oculopression Tonometry) for detecting ocular hydrodyamics. Examinations of ocular hydrodynamics show that the Goldmann formula no longer applies and thus had to be replaced.
OPFA and OPT are non-invasive examination methods performed on both eyes simultaneously and that do not require dilation of the pupils and can be carried out in any ophthalmological, neuro-ophthalmological, internal or other medical practice.
This book outlines the fundamentals and methodology of examining ocular hemodynamics and hydrodynamics. A second book will address the application of the OPFA and OPT in assessing ocular circulatory and cerebral disorders including glaucoma.weiterlesen
