The Wolfenbüttel Prison was the main penal facility in the former State of Braunschweig under the National Socialists.The prison had a large number of external sites all over the State of Braunschweig and beyond. The goal of the project ‘outSITE Wolfenbüttel: The Wolfenbüttel Prison and its Network in the State of Braunschweig’ was to research these sites and make them visible. The project findings have been compiled in this publication for the first time.
