The author formulates the justice imperative as an ethic of duty and defines justice as an act of protesting, preventing, and remedying injustices that cause human suffering. Formally, injustice is the violation of fairness, equality, and dignity, but in its primal form injustice is child abuse. Birth and death are discussed from a justice perspective beyond the dichotomy of pro-life and pro-choice.
