Hospital, out-patient care, medical wellness or e-health: how do the technological advancements and new forms of patient care change the requirements of employees within the public and private health systems? The study aims to answer this question for the professions of the middle qualification level. Thereby the term health system is consciously stretched. The focus lies on new tasks for skilled personnel within out-patient and in-patient care, the future status of health promotion and prevention, telemonitoring and assistant systems as well as concepts of integrated care. In expert surveys, interviews and a written Delphi inquiry of nearly 1,500 people data relating to innovative developments was collected and analysed with a view of changed areas of activity and required qualifications.
