Magnetic fusion is one approach to generate thermonuclear fusion power in an environmental friendly way. The Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating is considered as the major concept for startup, heating and control of the fusion plasma. Megawatt-class gyrotrons generate the required microwave power.
