From Bălţi to Chișinău and Tiraspol young authors and musicians barely known beyond the Moldovan borders sat down to experience their city in a new light. “The brick-red sofa,” writes the author Andrey Pavlenko in his text, “became the most important town object. Schoolchildren and students photographed it in its new places of residence, whether on the Boulevard of Roses or in the town bakery. The local newspaper titled an article, ‘Soft Extraterrestrial.
