The guide supports the specialists and members of leadership within companies with the development and introduction of a targeted company-strategic knowledge management system. Two tools, which were developed within the scope of the "FIT initiative for knowledge competition", allow for ease of access to the topic: 1) "Easy knowledge" provides EDP-supported, task-related information within the company. 2) "Knowledge balance - Made in Germany" determines and communicates the strengths and weaknesses of the company's knowledge base. Model companies introduced and tested the two integrated tools in the project "Future Knowledge" - subsidised by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).
