Samuel Henne. shifts & tilts
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
Samuel Henne's work is shaped by an interest in artistic and cultural theory, which questions production conditions and constructions of images and their interpretation. In his media- and institution-critical work "hand to hand" (2019) which was part of the exhibitions "shifts & tilts", Henne raises questions regarding authorship, originality, representation and potential for depiction with regard to art and its interpretation. In his works, the artist examines the role of the original and its potential for reproduction in various media from the replica past the photographic illustration all the way to its digitalization and three-dimensional reconstruction.
SHIFTS & TILTS is published on the occasion of the of the New York Stipend 2018 by the Niedersächsische Sparkassenstiftung and the State of Lower Saxony in cooperation with the Kunstverein Göttingen and the Halle für Kunst Lüneburg.
