ScattPort Series / Light Scattering by Particles, Bremen Workshop 2022
Produktform: Buch / Einband - flex.(Paperback)
The papers collected in this volume explore the current state of light scattering by
particles as it developed in recent years. They represent a selection of the presentations
held during the Bremen Workshop on Light Scattering by Particles 2022, which was organized
online via Zoom by the Leibniz-Institut für Werkstofforientierte Technologien –
IWT situated on the University of Bremen Campus in Bremen in March 21 + 22, 2022.
During this year’s workshop, various theoretical and practical aspects of light scattering
by particles very discussed. The papers collected in this volume demonstrate the
wide interdisciplinary nature of the interest in light scattering by particles and particle
aggregates.
Especially various practical aspects were extensively discussed ranging from near-field
effects, polymer dispersed liquid crystal devices, magnetoplasmonic nanoparticles, flow
cytometry, stratified sphere to inversion.
The theoretical approaches used to simulate and investigate the mentioned practical
problems include the Mie theory, Discrete Dipole Approximation (DDA), Generalized
Nonlocal Optical Response (GNOR), Discrete Sources Method (DSM), Monte Carlo simulation,
Generalized Lorenz-Mie theory (GLMT), Boundary Element Method (BEM) and
the T-Matrix Method.weiterlesen
