The dissertation is based on the thesis that training and further training of the police, fire brigade, ambulance service and armed forces should be more interdepartmental in design. While the participating organisations work closely together in operation, there is little cooperation in the design of training and further training. The author defines the requirements on staff who work under high psychological and physical pressure. With the objective of increasing the opportunities of those involved to acquire competence, the author develops the main features of an interdepartmental concept for training and further training. It is based on the results of a practical example and the author's own investigations.
