The stone circle of Tamera was built about 20 years ago, inspired by the ancient Neolithic stone circle of Évora (Portugal). The development of stone circles was the work of prehistoric mankind. It is still a mystery to us how our ancestors were able to construct such stone circles with their enormous structural challenges and with such astronomical precision, while leaving behind so few other material relics. They existed over long periods of time and had a deep knowledge of the functional logic of community and co-operation with nature. They worshipped a mother goddess and had a broad vision of peace.
