Objective and reliable capture of the core competences of trainees using state-of-the-art technologies - that was the objective of the research programme ASCOT. This volume presents the findings of the four BMBF-funded research initiatives. The book focuses on measurement models, test strategies and validated tools for determining competences in trainees of selected professions (business administration, commercial technical, healthcare). Measuring and examination situations were developed, which deliver supra-regionally comparable results based on standardised processes. Initial application data show findings regarding the performance distribution in trainees and offer insights into the condition constellation for professional competence learning.
