This book provides a comparison of the European Union with the Eurasian Economic Union from the perspective of four salient integration theories: neo-functionalism; liberal intergovernmentalism; social constructivism; and neo-realism. The author evaluates the utility of the EAEU in economic, political, cultural and geostrategic dimensions through a systematic comparison of the regional bloc (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan) with the EU along a number of criteria derived from the European integration theory.
