The Sense of the Whole
from the fragmented present to a systemic future
Produktform: Buch / Einband - fest (Hardcover)
The features of the current development point towards a transformation of comprehensive character and global dimension. Outdated social structures are dissolving and signs of new, sustainable models are gradually emerging. The patterns of thought and behavior strengthened by tradition and habit, which are at the root of our present-day problems, are incapable of contributing to useful and lasting solutions.
They rather tempt us to continue to see the "old" in the "new and to trust in "proven responses" that suddenly turn out to be radically wrong. During this transitional phase, old structures are undergoing a gradual process of disintegration, while a new paradigm gains noticeably in strength and influence, and becomes increasingly effective.
A world is emerging that has technologically grown together into a global village. However, at the threshold of a new stage of development, it faces challenges that are systemic in nature and cannot be met with old-fashioned methods and piecemeal thinking. Without the clarity of systemic awareness, there is a feeling of being confused and perplexed, caught up in the symptoms and failing to cope with the order of increasingly complex realities. It takes the power of comprehensive thinking to release the transformative energy, which alone is capable of breaking up solidified forms and of provoking a process of change and crystallization of new system structures. It is a matter of making a joint effort to learn how to integrate the diversity of nations, cultures, religions and economic systems, in the course of an organic transformation process, into a functional wholeness. At the heart of this process of dynamic change is nothing less than humanity in its entirety.weiterlesen
