Joey Ng is currently an Assistant Professor at The Open University of Hong Kong. Working in the academic field for over ten years, she attained her PhD in Business and Management at the University of Nottingham in 2019. Her research positions within critical management studies (CMS). As a researcher, she bears the obligation of reviewing existing management assumptions and lifting up the voice of the marginalized. That is how and why she finally chooses CMS as the ‘home’ for her research. At the same time, she perseveres with a research interest in the lived experiences of people in Chinese organizations, through the lens of an ethnographer.
