Transformation und Wiederkehr
Radikale Nationalismen im Spiegel der zeitgenössischen Kunst
Produktform: Buch
Right-wing political ideas retained some of their currency even after 1945. In parallel to this, fascism was given a new lease of life in art and literature. Popular culture and (transgressive) subcultures have appropriated its aesthetic set pieces for their own purposes. The catalogue of the exhibition “Transformation and Recurrence. Reflections on Radical Nationalisms in Contemporary Art” at the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz pulls together a great number of artists and works of art to address these phenomena. Statements range from appropriation and mimetic subversion to analytic probing, re-enactment and the deconstruction of fascistoid mechanisms.weiterlesen
