The rediscovery of the recorder began in Germany in 1926 with its roots in the Vogtland region of Saxony. Here, many new recorder models were created within a mere two decades. This book demonstrates the diversitiy of recorder making during that period, a phenomenon which still characterises the recorder scene today. The enclosed CD presents a cross-section of the repertoire of early and modern music current at that time.
