Waste prevention and product ecodesign are increasingly becoming central issues as the debate on circular economy gains considerable momentum on the political agenda. Based on a legal-economic analysis of environmental law, this book provides a comparative examination of Brazilian and EU waste and product-related environmental law to answer the question of what lessons Brazil can learn from the European Union to prevent waste through product ecodesign regulation, if any.
