Der Band fasst mit dem deutschen ›Informatorium‹ und den echten wie den bearbeiteten Weigel'schen Schöpfungsauslegungen zwei Textgruppen zusammen, die durch eine teilweise gemeinsame Thematik und Textübernahmen miteinander verbunden sind. Das ›Informatorium‹ will anhand des Gebets (Teil I), der Leiter Jakobs (Teil II) und des Schlüssels Davids (Teil III) eine Anleitung zum rechten christlichen Glauben geben. Die gradualistisch angelegte kompilatorische ›Viererlei Auslegung von der Schöpfung‹ im Anhang ist in Auseinandersetzung mit der lutherischen Theologie entstanden. It is the purpose of the ›Informatorium‹ to provide instructions for the right Christian faith using Prayer (Part I), Jacob‹s Ladder (Part II) and the Key of David (Part III).
