Wide Area Stability Analysis and Control of Interconnected Power Systems with HVDC and FACTS Devices
Produktform: E-Buch Text Elektronisches Buch in proprietärem
In order to suppress low-frequency oscillations and improve the overall stability of large-scale interconnected power systems, this book investigates the wide-area stability analysis and control methods from different perspectives. The flexible & quick control capability of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and flexible ac transmission systems (FACTS) is deeply developed to implement a wide-area measurement based damping control. A sequential & global mixed optimization method is proposed to simultaneously optimize local and wide-area damping controllers, and a wide-area robust coordination method is presented to coordinated design multiple wide-area damping controllers (WADCs). A delay-dependent robust design method is also proposed to handle with time-varying delay commonly existed in wide-area signal. The closed-loop experiment is used to validate the damping performance. The research activities of this book include power system stability analysis and control, wide-area damping control as well as HVDC & FACTS technologies.weiterlesen
