The Vienna Hofburg, one of the most extensive historic residence ensembles in Europe, is Austria’s most important secular cultural heritage site. To remedy this, the Austrian Academy of Sciences undertook fundamental, interdisciplinary research, leaving no stone unturned in its investigations.
