Across the South and Southeast Asian region, the growing involvement of women in terrorism is an increasingly conspicuous but little-studied phenomenon. Against this backdrop, this volume uses unique empirical data to examine why Bangladeshi women get involved in jihadist Islamist networks; what roles they play in them; and how the Bangladeshi government and security apparatus have reacted to female jihadism.
