This work presents a method for the continuous improvement of communication structures in the design phase of construction projects. The method is rooted in the concepts of Lean Management and it models project structures as social networks. Successful application of the method in case studies shows an innovative use case for Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM can serve as a data source for modeling of social networks during the design phase of construction projects.

Die vorliegende Arbeit beinhaltet die Analyse der Kraftübertragung und die Modellierung des Reibkoeffizienten μ auf rauen Oberflächen beim Abscheren von aktiv betriebenen Vakuumgreifern. Es werden die beiden Hauptkomponenten bei der Elastomerreibung (Hysterese, Adhäsion) modelliert. Zudem wird der Formschluss untersucht und im Detail beschrieben. Mit Hilfe des vorgestellten Reibmodells können Angaben für den Reibkoeffizienten zur Auslegung von Haltesystemen mit Vakuumgreifern gemacht werden. The present work includes the analysis of the load transmission and the modeling of the friction coefficient μ on rough surfaces during the shearing process of actively-driven vacuum grippers. The two main components of elastomeric friction (hysteresis and adhesion) are modeled. In addition, the positive locking is also examined in detail. The presented friction model allows to calculate the friction coefficient and therefore to optimize the design of restraint systems for vacuum grippers.

Modularization and standardization (M&S) of MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems improve end customer value according to lean concepts and principles. However, the implementation of M&S is challenging. The challenges of the implementation were investigated and a guidelines model is developed, based on the executed case studies, the interviews, and literature of M&S. Suggestions to manage the implementation of M&S of MEP systems are made depending on lean concepts and tools.
