IMAGINATION TRANSFERS the stories of 18 paintings/ documentation of a process of imagination in form of photgraphs, letters, postcards, nomadic installations 2006-2008 The idea of IMAGINATION TRANSFERS was to link two persons from different continents through their imagination. On the streets in China and Europe I asked people I met by chance to imagine a painting. Each order for a painting I sent then to the other hemisphere – from China to Europe or from Europe to China – to have the painting realised over there. Finally the paintings were sent to the ordering persons and the cloths with the written imaginations to the painters. In this way 18 paintings have been created, each one with its very special story and journey. The collected documentation of the whole process was material for different installation and is gathered in a book.
