The Island is a series of pictures by Andreas Tobias, created on two separate trips across Iceland during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it not only originated in times of substantial global turmoil, but also at a painful watershed moment in the artist‘s private life. The photographs playfully dissolve and reinterpret space and time and are an intimate approach to nature.
