Die Beiträge des Bandes gehen auf eine Tagung an der Europa-Universität Flensburg im März 2015 zurück, auf der zum einen Ergebnisse des Projektes „Einstellungen angehender LehrerInnen zu Deutsch als Zweitsprache und Mehrsprachigkeit in Ausbildung und Unterricht“ präsentiert und diskutiert wurden. Bereichert wurde die Tagung zum anderen auch durch projektexterne Vorträge, die sich mit ähnlichen Fragestellungen auseinanderSetzten oder durch die das Projekt eine Erweiterung des Blickfeldes erfuhr.
