Der berufliche Wiedereinstieg zugewanderter Lehrkräfte ist ein Thema, das in vielen Ländern noch wenig erforscht ist. Der Sammelband widmet sich den Chancen und Herausforderungen des beruflichen Neuanfangs internationaler Lehrkräfte in sieben Ländern: Belgien, Deutschland, Griechenland, Island, Polen, Slowenien und der Türkei. Zudem werden länderübergreifend Potenziale für einen gelingenden Wiedereinstieg aufgezeigt und Erkenntnisse aus dem Projekt „International Teachers for Tomorrow’s School“ (ITTS) vorgestellt.

The professional re-entry of migrant teachers is a topic that is still little researched in many countries. The publication is dedicated to the opportunities and challenges of international teachers' professional re-entry in seven countries: Belgium, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Poland, Slovenia and Türkiye. In addition, potentials for a successful re-entry are illustrated across countries and findings from the project "International Teachers for Tomorrow's School" (ITTS) are presented.

Educational institutions should offer a safe and secure environment for young people. Part of that should be educational equity, which this publication analyses and discusses from different angles. All 11 countries reflected on are part of the Bologna process and are dealing with the challenges of the development of a European Higher Education Area. This ongoing process is reflected in the present publication, with a specific focus on equality in education. The authors cover aspects like inclusion and inequality, internationalizing and accessing education, but they also deal with learning foreign Languages, education for the future, assessment, feedback and student success, lifelong learning, teacher training as well as different aspects of the LGB(T+) community and gender and education.
