Twenty-five years after reunification, the literary, theatrical, aesthetic and cinematic culture of remembrance of East German socialism is as diverse as it is award-worthy. In the context of education, however, remembrance of this era is associated less and less with communicative memory; if at all, moreover, the focus is mostly on literature and media from the era of the GDR.
