GNSS is often inaccurate and satellite signals are not always available, which results in ambiguous situations. In order to reduce their negative effects on train-borne localization, this work proposes an approach for the detection of tracks, turnouts, and branching directions solely from 2d lidar sensor measurements. The experimental evaluation shows highly correct and complete results. In summary, these detections are sufficient to reduce ambiguity problems in train-borne localization.

Der sogenannte Hochvoltspinell (LiNi0,5Mn1,5O4) stellt aufgrund seiner hohen Arbeitsspannung ein vielversprechendes Kathodenmaterial dar. In dieser Arbeit wird die Kinetik des Kapazitätsverlustes während der Zyklierung sowie der Einfluss von Beschichtungen auf diesen untersucht. Weiterhin wird das elektrochemische Verhalten bei dem Einbau von mehr als einem Lithium pro Formeleinheit für unterschiedlich dotierte Spinelle diskutiert. Due to its high operating voltage the so-called high voltage spinel (LiNi0,5Mn1,5O4) is a promising cathode material. In this work the kinetics of the capacity loss during cycling and its change due to different coatings are analyzed. In a second part the electrochemical behavior for the insertion of a second lithium per formula unit is discussed for different doped spinel materials.

Equipping robots with complex capabilities still requires a great amount of effort. In this work, a novel approach is proposed to understand, to represent and to execute object manipulation tasks learned from observation by combining methods of data analysis, graphical modeling and artificial intelligence. Employing this approach enables robots to reason about how to solve tasks in dynamic environments and to adapt to unseen situations.

The characteristic vortex formation in the ventricles is believed to be affected at an early stage of heart diseases. First, post-processing of patient-specific data has to be standardised. The chosen methods, a combination of Eulerian and Lagrangian techniques, are characterised by means of necessary spatial and temporal resolutions. Second, the goal is to find the best cost-benefit approach for modelling of the mitral valve, as it affects vortex formation and progression in the left ventricle.

Die Entwicklung eines ganzheitlichen und integrierten Projektplanungssystems ist dringend notwendig, um Abweichungen von der Planung kerntechnischer Rückbauprojekte zu vermeiden und bestehende Unsicherheiten in die Planung zu integrieren. Im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts MogaMaR wurden Besonderheiten kerntechnischer Rückbauprojekte und Schwachstellen im Projektmanagement identifiziert. Darauf aufbauend wurde ein ganzheitliches Projektplanungssystem für kerntechnische Rückbauprojekte entwickelt. The development of a holistic and integrated project management and planning system is crucial to avoid deviations from the plan and to consider uncertainties in the planning stage of nuclear dismantling projects. Therefore, in the research project MogaMaR characteristics of such projects as well as shortcomings in the current project management were identified. On the basis of these findings, a holistic project management system for nuclear dismantling projects was developed.

Aufbauend auf der Theorie der somatischen Marker wird versucht, die Antizipation von riskanten Verkehrssituationen anhand der Hautleitfähigkeit zu messen. Die Ergebnisse legen nahe, dass die Höhe der antizipatorischen Hautleitfähigkeitsaktivität systematisch von situativen Faktoren einer Verkehrssituation beeinflusst wird. Zudem wurde ein Modell abgeleitet, das einen umgekehrt U-förmigen Zusammenhang zwischen der Fahrerfahrung und der antizipatorischen Hautleitfähigkeit postuliert. Based on the Somatic Marker Hypothesis, an attempt is made to measure the anticipation of risky traffic situations by means of the electrodermal activity. The results indicate that the strength of the anticipatory electrodermal activity is systematically related to situational factors of a traffic situation. In addition, a model was derived that postulates an inverted U-shaped relationship between driver’s experience and anticipatory electrodermal activity.

In dieser Arbeit wird crazing bei amorphen thermoplastischen Kunststoffen untersucht. Experimente an einem ABS- Kunststoff werden genutzt, um das Deformations- und Schädigungsverhalten zu charakterisieren. Ein homogenisiertes Materialmodel für verteiltes Crazing wurde entwickelt. Simulationen von mikroskopischen Risswachstum und der Vergleich mit Experimenten werden verwendet, um die plastische Zone an einer Rissspitze und das Risswachstum zu untersuchen. In this work crazing in amorphous thermoplastics is investigated. Experiments on an ABS-material are used to characterize the deformation and fracture behavior. A homogenized material model for distributed crazing is developed. Simulation of macroscopic crack growth and the comparison with experiments are used to investigate the plastic zone at the crack tip and the fracture behavior.

Bestehende Geschäftsmodellierungssprachen (bzw. deren Erweiterungen) besitzen Zeit-, Identität- und Aktivitäts-bezogene Kontexte bzw. Objekte zur Modellierung von Geschäftsprozessen. Zur Unterstützung eines sogenannten Context Aware Service werden ortsbezogene Kontexte benötigt, damit die Anwendung bzw. der Prozess auf Basis dessen gesteuert werden kann. Für die Integration von Ortsbezügen in Workflow-Modelle wird in vorliegender Arbeit ein Konzept auf Basis von Ortseinschränkungen entwickelt. Existing business modeling languages (or their extensions) have time, identity and activity related contexts (or objects) for modeling business processes. In order to support a Context Aware Service, location awareness is needed to enable the application or process to control the related workflows. For the integration of location constraints into workflow models, a concept based on restrictions is being developed in the present work.

Die Arbeit befasst sich mit der Analyse und Bewertung der Entwicklung des Elektrizitäts- und Wärmesystems der Wohngebäude in Deutschland bis zum Jahr 2050. Das Untersuchungsziel besteht neben der Analyse der zeitlichen Veränderung der Teilenergiesysteme insbesondere darin, das Potenzial von Technologien an der Schnittstelle von Elektrizität und Wärme zu identifizieren sowie die Entwicklung vor dem Hintergrund der energie- und klimapolitischen Ziele im Wärmesystem der Wohngebäude zu bewerten. The present work investigates the evolution of the electricity system and the heat system of the residential buildings in Germany until 2050. The aim of the research work relates to the analysis of the temporal evolution of the investigated energy systems as well as of the potential of innovative technologies at the interface of electricity and heat along with the assessment of the goals of climate and energy policy in the heat system of the residential sector.

Diesel-hybride Antriebssysteme für Triebwagen können den Kraftstoffverbrauch und die Emissionen auf nicht elektrifizierten Strecken gegenüber konventionellen Dieseltriebwagen deutlich reduzieren. Die Auslegung solcher Antriebssysteme erfordert den Einsatz von Simulation und experimentellen Methoden. Für die Validierung wird eine Vorgehensweise entwickelt, die es erlaubt, einzelne Antriebseinheiten nacheinander auf dem Prüfstand zu validieren. Diesel-hybrid propulsion systems for railcars are able to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in relation to conventional diesel railcars. To design such a propulsion system requires the use of simulation and experimental methods. A validation procedure is developed, that enables to test the propulsion system in several smaller tests with single powertrains.
